What is a Parky? Or is it a Parka?Regardless of your choice of spelling or pronunciation, a Laura Wright Alaskan Parky is an Eskimo-style coat that is made with quality and durability rare to find in the world. Initially parkys (pronounced "par-kees") were designed to be functional and warm, with beauty being a bonus. Today the attention to detail of each parky makes it an original piece of Wearable Alaskan Art

Did Elvis really wear a Laura Wright Alaskan Parky?Yes! Here is a photo of Elvis Presley enjoying a rare snow day wearing a parky my Gramma, Laura Wright, made for him. He saw Gramma at the Seattle Worlds Fair in the Alaska Pavillon in 1962. Gram said that when he received his parky, he ordered 3 more and gave them as gifts.
